According to China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Textiles, the silk products (raw silk, yarn and fabrics) export reached 12,800 tons from Jan. to Sept. , down by 9.55% from the same period last year, or valued 536 million USD, rising 19.45%. The unit price was 52.36 USD per kg, rising 32.07%.
Of which, the raw mulberry silk export were 4059 tons, down by 10.98%, while the unit price was 52.36 USD per kg, rising 42.33%.
The major importers of Chinese silk products were India, Pakistan, Italy, Japan and South Korea.
The major export provinces in China were: Jiangsu (accounting for 41.34% of the total export), Zhejiang (27.97%), Guangdong (10.47%), Sichuan (10.06%) and Shandong (7.53%).
