Consumer price of resident's clothing represents an upward trend for 12 consecutive months |

The Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference on November 16, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce Shen Danyang notified media about China's commercial operation from January to October this year. In addition, consumer price of resident's clothing rose 3.7 percent year on year in October, representing an upward trend for 12 consecutive months, according to data of the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to October this year, sales growth of China's clothing commodities declined. Prices of clothing categories have been rising since this year, as being driven by increasing raw material prices and labor costs, consumer spending was slightly cold.
In October, clothing sales of 3,000 key retailers rose 14.7 percent year on year, footwear sales rose 9.4 percent year on year, which fell 8.6 percentage points and 9.7 percentage points, respectively, from September.
In addition, consumer price of resident's clothing rose 3.7 percent year on year in October, representing an upward trend for 12 consecutive months, according to data of the National Bureau of Statistics.
