ISO/TC133, a subsidiary of International Standard Organization, specializes in clothes size and code. Its Secreariat is reported to be restarted in Changshu, Jiangsu Province on Nov. 11st.
The clothes size and code are different over the world. For instance, some countries like the US use S, M, L to represent the shirt sizes, while some like China use 39, 40 for the sizes. The major task of ISO/TC133 is to work out a standard for the clothes size and code.
The Secreariat used to be assumed by South Africa in last 70’s. For some reasons, the new standard did not work out. In July 2010, the ISO/TC133 decided that China and South Africa would joint work in this mission.
The Secreariat set up in Bosideng, one of China’s largest apparel manufacturers.
