Cotton Situation Monthly (October 31st 2011) issued by China Cotton Association on November 1st 2011 estimated Chinese cotton yield totaled 7.28 million tons, 0.1 million tons down compared with August and 9.3% up over last year. By the end of September, the nationwide cotton picking progress was high up to 33.5%, 7.3 percentage points higher in year-on-year speed, but cotton farmers sold only 13% on average, basically balanced with the same period of last year.
