Vietnam : Textile And Garment Exports Grows 60 Percent

According to the figures from the Ministry of Trade the textile and garment exports of Vietnam umped 60 per cent year-on-year to $2.14 billion during Jan-July of this year thanks to soaring shipments to the US.Figures from the Ministry of Trade showed the country's apparel and fabric exporters are set for shipments worth $300 million in July alone, with orders from Africa, central America and South America also up. Vietnam's clothing textile industry is expected to generate export earnings of $3.2bn this year and the latest data means it has already achieved 72 per cent of that target.
