95% Textile Export to Taiwan Will Enjoy Zero Duty

The Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) between Mainland China and Taiwan will enter into the second stage of lowering duties. According to the Agreement, goods including textile products in the Early Harvest List with original duty at or below 7.5%, which account for 95 percent of the goods in the list, will enjoy zero-duty treatment on their exports to Taiwan from January 1, 2012. Meanwhile, goods with original duty above 7.5% will enjoy the duty reduction to 2.5%.
