The exports of fabric, however, decreased by ?3 million or 11 percent year-on-year in April 2013, according to Deinheiro Vivo report.
Meanwhile, Portugal’s textile and clothing imports grew by 13.2 percent year-on-year to ?60.4 million during the month under review.
From January to April, Portugal’s textile and apparel trade showed a surplus of ?76 million, an increase of eight percent year-on-year.
