Pakistan : Exporters Allowed To Avail Carry-Over Quota

The Export Promotion Bureau has allowed exporters to avail carry-over quota in Categories 6 and 20 for European Union and categories 360, 361,666(S) and 666 (P) for USA and category 2-A for Turkey.

A circular issued by the Textile Quota Management of EPB says that "on the recommendation of the Quota Supervisory Council (QSC) exporters of the following categories, who applied for carry-over quota to the EPB, are also allowed to avail carry-over of unutilised quota of the year 2000 into the year 2003 up to the following permissible percentages: EU Cat-6: from 70 percent to 100 percent of the permissible limit. Cat-20: from 36 percent to 100 percent of the permissible limit. Turkey-Cat-2-A: from 63 percent to 100 percent of the permissible limit USA-Cat-360, 361 666-S, 666-P: 100 percent of the permissible limit. The terms and conditions for utilisation will remain as announced vide SRO 5(1)/2001 dated 3-1-2001 as amended from time to time.
