This summer LeBron James returns to China for his eighth tour with plenty to celebrate: his second straight league championship and a fresh final MVP award along with his fourth regular season MVP award. Kicking off on July 24, the four-day Nike China tour will take James to Guangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing to encourage young athletes to move more during the summer holidays.
James will make surprise appearances at popular outdoor basketball courts in each city to shoot hoops with young players onsite. He will also lead special activities at each stop.
In Guangzhou, James will launch his championship product pack and meet with local football players who just won their second national league title to share the insights of the two sports. James will also participate in the "Nike Summer Nights" event in Wuhan, and in the “Battle of District” event at the Imperial Ancestral Temple in Beijing, one of the most iconic locations in China.
Throughout the summer, Nike Greater China will motivate young athletes to play more sports and be physically active with a new JUST DO IT campaign. Every night at 7 p.m., @Justdoit (China weibo account) will send out a “wake-up call” to encourage young athletes across China to set aside 8 - 10 p.m. as their time to do sports.
