China's Anqing city recognizes textiles as key industry

Textiles and garments sector has been recognized as one of the key industries by the Anqing Municipal government for attracting industrial investment, Anhui Ministry of Commerce said.

 

Anqing is a prefecture-level city in the southwest of Anhui province.

 

The committee set up by the Anqing Municipal government to attract further investment in the region has identified eight key industries—petrochemical industry,  textile and garment industry, machinery and equipment manufacturing, tourism industry, agriculture, trade and logistics and modern services, cultural industries, and strategic emerging industries.

 

Anqing city would especially focus on strengthening of new chemical materials, machinery and equipment manufacturing, and textile and garment sectors to attract large-scale investment.

 

For the key industries, the city administration would open special windows and also focus on promoting the development of Yicheng plate.
