China National Textile and Apparel Council recently organized an appraisal meeting in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province for evaluating the project of "Developing Key Technologies and Equipment for Dry-jet Wet-spun GQ45 High-performance carbon fiber", which was jointly undertaken by Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd., Lianyungang Yingyou Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., Zhongfu Composite Materials (Group) Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Aoshen (Group) Co., Ltd.
The expert group headed by Sun Jinliang and Jiang Shicheng, members of China Engineering Society reach the opinion that the project has taken the lead in China in developing internationally-advanced dry-jet wet-spinning technology and developed the homogeneous polymerization system that is suitable for dry-jet and wet-spinning, the low-deflection air-layer fiber formation system and the high-speed and high steam drafting system. The project has also developed relevant production equipment including the 60 cubic-meter perfect mixed polymerization kettle, dry-jet and wet-spinning fiber formation equipment, steam drafting unit and complete set of key equipment for carbonization as well as high-efficient solvent recovery system and waste gas disposal system. Based on the above-mentioned key technologies and equipment, carbon fiber up to Standard GQ4522 has been developed and accepted by many composite material producers.
With independently-developed dry-jet and wet-spinning line for SYT45 (equivalent to Grade T700) high-performance carbon fiber precursor and carbonization line, Zhongfu Shenyou Company has become the first company in China and the third in the world that has cracked the nut of dry-jet wet-spinning process.
SYT45 high-performance carbon fiber has a tensile strength up to 4.5GPa and modulus up to 240GPa. It can be widely used in industrial, geo-engineering, medical instrument and equipment, sports goods, military, aviation and aerospace fields.
