Beaulieu Technical Textiles opens new facility in China

Beaulieu Technical Textiles, a subsidiary of Belgium-based Beaulieu International Group, has opened a new production facility at Weihai, in China’s Shandong province.

 

The new plant spread across 23,000 sq m of area will mainly produce carpet backings, agrotextiles and geo-textiles.

 

With its latest investment, BIG aims to make its polymer textiles more accessible to major customers in China and the Far East.

 

BIG already has a production plant for floor coverings in Rizhao, also in Shandong province, and a sales office and showroom in Shanghai.

 

BIG employs about 3,500 people across its 30 production facilities spread across eight countries. In 2012, the Group’s turnover was ?.4 billion, according to the company’s website.
