Turkey’s apparel exports during the month of February touched US$ 1.48 billion, indicating a rise of 7.2 percent, compared to the same month last year, as per the data released by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly.
According to the February 2014 Export Data of TIM, Turkey exported apparel worth $1.48 billion during the month of February, compared to the $1.38 billion apparel exported during the same month last year.
Apparel exports from Turkey during the month of February accounted for 12.3 percent of the overall exports made from the country during the month.
During the month of January 2014, Turkey exported clothing worth $1.58 billion, registering a surge of 14.2 percent, compared to the same month in 2013. Clothing exported during the month of January accounted for 13.2 percent of the overall exports from the country during the month.
In 2013, Turkey exported apparel worth US$ 17.3 billion, indicating an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2012, as per the data from the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association (ITKIB).
