Vietnam : Clothing Factories to be Inspected by US Custom Officials

As part of a crackdown on suspect sewn good shipments a group of US custom officials will inspect series of clothing and textile factory in Vietnam.

Officials hope to visit up to 240 factories during their three week
visit where they will check shipment records and paperwork as well as see whether the plants have the equipment to make what they say.

Last month, 51 Vietnamese firms had their US quotas withdrawn by trade chiefs after they were found to have abused the system by falsely applying for the valuable permits.
