Chinese Fibre Pavilion returns to Yarn Expo Spring 2015 |
2015-2-13
Yarn Expo Spring 2015 which exhibits a wide range of fibre and yarn products returns to Shanghai from March 18–20, 2015 in Hall 7.2 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Yarn Expo will showcase natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool, flax / regenerated flax, and man-made fibres and yarns as well as specialty products including elastic, fancy and blended yarns.
The 2015 Spring edition will also see the return of the Chinese Fibre Pavilion with a highlighted zone to promote the usage of biochemical fibres, the ‘Bio Fibre Zone’.
Unlike traditional man-made fibres which are produced from crude oil, biochemical fibre is made with renewable bio materials.
Wendy Wen, senior general manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “Biochemical fibre will be the next hot product in China as developing renewable materials is a big focus of the country’s 13th five-year plan.”
Besides the Bio Fibre Zone, renewable fibres from nine exhibitors will be exhibited at the Renewable and Recycled Zone.
Different from products shown in the Bio Fibre Zone, the ones here are made in a low energy consumption and carbon emission production process.
The Advanced Cottony Polyester Fibre Zone will feature the newly developed Super Imitation Cotton fibres that can be used in sportswear and denim fabrics.
Visitors will be able to feel and visualise how these new products are better than others in terms of moisture absorption, softness and pilling resistance via a series of live demonstrations.
Another two zones, namely the Specialty Fibre Zone and Functional Fibre Zone, will be located in the pavilion as well.
In these zones, visitors will find carbon fibres, heat-resistant para-aramid fibres, high-strength UHMWPE fibres and polyimide fibres, as well as functional fibres which are flame retardant and odour eliminating.
Other than synthetic fibres, overseas exhibitors will bring new collections of natural yarns to the fair. Mundifios from Portugal, will bring their new collection of compact melange yarns and wool / linen blended yarns.
Shahid Textile from Hong Kong will exhibit 100 per cent cotton grey yarn from reputable Pakistani spinners.
Exhibitors in the Indian Pavilion and the Pakistani zone will also display their high-count cotton yarn featuring advanced technologies,” Messe Frankfurt said.
The fair will be held concurrently with another three textile trade events, namely Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, PH Value 2015 and China International Fashion Fair 2015 (CHIC).
