India : $500 million Silk Export Target for the Current Year

Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) is targetting $500 million worth silk products exports during the current financial year. ISEPC chairman Subhash Mittal said this is against the achievement of $465 million in FY03. However, the $500 million target for FY04 is less than the $567 million target set by the textiles ministry for FY03.
