Why BC ?
Compared with horizontal travellers(for PG steel ring), BC type steel ring / traveller will bring you:

Important
BC6 steel ring should equip BC6 ring travellers, while BC9 steel ring should use BC9 ring travellers only.
Application scope
BC steel ring can replace all existing flange rings (PG) equipped in various spinning frames. However,BC6 is most suitable for synthetic fibre,blended yarn count from 10 - 60s, BC9 is more suitable for high speed, cotton fibre, blended yarn count from 20 - 120s.
The designation of BC steel ring is similar to PG type, for example, BC6 4254 responds to PG1-4254 or PG1/2-4254. BC steel ring is finished by polishing. The rustproof oil on the surface should be removed before use.
Selection of ring traveller number
Number of BC ring travellers is equal to its ISO No. (weight in milligram for one pc). Choose the nearest weight (ISO No.) of flange ring travellers to be replaced as the number of BC ring travellers. Refer to Comparative Chart hereunder, for example, if you are using 6903 No.9/0, you can get its ISO number as 32.4, so BC number range can be 30, 32, 34, then select the number according to specific condition of yarn balloon and yarn tension.
Running in period
Chose of lighter traveller is suggested, when new BC steel ring is newly installed, change 2~3 times. (one after first doffering, second one after first day), then come into normal period of running. Alternatively one can reduce the spindle speed when running in (using same weight or number of travellers). Note normal change interval of BC ring travellers is double extended as compared with ordinary travellers on PG steel ring.
Installation and change of traveller
1) place the longer foot at the inside running way; 2) Push and slide the the longer foot to the end position of running way; 3) Push and slide the short foot to outside running way; 4) Both foot are duly positioned.
Suggestion
After installation of BC steel ring, it is suggested to readjust (reduce) the gauge of yarn clearer, to avoid possible fluff collection by ring travellers.
