Yarn Examining Machine. To assess the evenness, hairiness, neps and other imperfections in a representative sample of yarn wound at a pre-determined pitch onto a quadrate black board. Variable pitch traverse 4 - 19 wraps per centimetre, variable winding speed drive, with yarn package stand and 2 quadrate aluminium black boards 250mm x 180mm, 250mm x 220mm. Assessment against photographic comparison standards (not included).
